About us

A startup by paramedics for paramedics.

It all started when Christoph had a problem: how can you keep fit as a volunteer emergency paramedic when you're tied to the sofa due to a lockdown? During his training, he sometimes sat up late into the night with colleagues and went through one case study after another. There must be a way to bring this efficient form of learning home. And so he drummed up a team that is not only powerful for the implementation, but also largely comes from the emergency services. Because we at Gleea are not just some basement programmers. We are paramedics - and we build software for you.

What does the name mean?

Gleea is pronounced “glee-a” and comes from “glial cells” (glia in german). This specialized group of cells forms the supporting and holding structure of the nerves in the brain. And our app is designed to support your nerve cells during learning in exactly the same way.

Where are you from?

Gleea's headquarters are in Bavaria in the district of Augsburg. But as a software company, we are not really tied to any one location, so we work from different parts of Europe. We also have regional sales partners.

Why are you doing this?

Because we enjoy it! We earn our living in a full-time job and invest every spare minute in the success of Gleea. Above all, because we are the happiest users of our learning app.

The Team behind Gleea

Steffi

Stefanie Graumann M.Sc. studied Management & Informatics. She has over 10 years of professional experience as a controller, project manager and scrum master in software development at Robert Bosch GmbH. As part of these activities, she has many years of experience in coordinating distributed development teams and service providers as well as freelancers. She is a qualified usability advocate and has experience in the design of user interfaces. As CEO, she takes care of all business matters.

Christian

Christian Brugger M.Sc. has a degree in Information Systems with a focus on Medical Informatics. In his 15 years of professional experience, he mostly developed application software with multi-layered client-server architecture, modern web and cloud technologies as well as mobile apps for iOS and Android. He also gained practical experience in the emergency services through several years of full-time and voluntary work as a paramedic. As CFO, Christian is responsible for Gleea's finances.

Christoph

Christoph Graumann M.Sc. is a medical IT specialist and head of the application software division at corpuls, the European market leader for medical technology in the emergency services. Prior to his studies, he trained as a paramedic, which he completed in 2019 in a supplementary examination to become an emergency paramedic. to become an emergency paramedic. As CTO, he is responsible for the technological direction and product strategy at Gleea. In addition, he uses his broad network for the areas of sales and marketing.

Andi

Andreas Voit B.Sc. studied Medical Informatics and previously worked as a paramedic with four years of professional experience in Germany and abroad. Andreas has been working as a software developer for ten years and has been involved in various projects, including medical products for telemedicine in the emergency services. Andi is also responsible for software development at Gleea and, as CIO, is also responsible for the operation of our Gleea Cloud.
